If MoneyWiz is not syncing some data, the first thing you should try is to start MoneyWiz on all your devices, give it 1 minute and see if it started syncing. If not, then proceed with the following procedure to force a sync.

Force sync is a troubleshooting step you can take to "force" MoneyWiz to re-sync your data with MoneyWiz Cloud by SYNCbits servers. Below you can find instructions how to perform this operation from different devices but first, a couple of important notes:

  • Make sure that you execute this operation from just one device -- the one that has the correct data.

  • Executing steps below will prompt MoneyWiz to show you a hidden sync menu. From that menu, select Differences with SYNCbits option only and use it only once. Once you click this, MoneyWiz will review differences between your local data and SYNCbits and upload missing data to SYNCbits server from where other devices can download it. This might take some time – observe the MoneyWiz avatar in the sidebar (either MoneyWiz logo or your own avatar from Gravatar service) – when MoneyWiz is syncing with SYNCbits, you’ll see an animation of a green line around it. Once it stops, MoneyWiz finished syncing. Please let MoneyWiz sync completely.

  • If this didn’t help please quit MoneyWiz, leave it as it is, and e-mail us. We can help you re-create your SYNCbits account using the database that has the correct data (so please tell us in your e-mail which one is it).
