MoneyWiz supports numerous keyboard shortcuts that allow you to perform certain actions faster using just the keyboard. If you are on an iPad you can hold ⌘ cmd for a second to see list of available shortcuts in a given context (so the list is different, depending whether you are in Accounts or Budgets section). macOS does not feature such shortcuts showcase so we are listing all available shortcuts in this article but they are the same for both iPads and Macs.

How to read those shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts require you to hold at least two different keys on your keyboard simultaneously in order to take effect. Those different keys that you need to press are usually separated using +, for example ⌘ cmd + ⇥ Tab asks you to press and hold ⌘ cmd key on your keyboard and then press ⇥ Tab (then release all keys). This particular system-wide (not related to MoneyWiz) shortcut is used to switch between different active windows.

Some shortcuts might require you to press more than two keys, for example ⇧ Shift + ⌘ cmd + A. In this case, you need to press and hold ⇧ Shift key, then press and hold ⌘ cmd (while still holding ⇧ Shift) and then also press A (then release all keys).

Practicing and remembering keyboard shortcuts can take some time but once you get a hold of it, you'll be able to whiz through different sections of MoneyWiz, amazing people nearby with how much time as well as money you're saving!
