All category, payee and tag-based reports allow you to select the option for "No category", "No payee" or "No tag", respectively. This allows you, for example, to generate a payee report for transactions that don't have any payee assigned. Of course, you can combine it with transactions that do have particular payees assigned.
Few things to note:
In expense reports, only Expense and Refund transactions with no assignment of your choice will be included.
In income reports, only Income transactions with no assignments will be included.
Categories, Payees and Tags-based reports will skip all investment transactions as well as the adjust balance transactions.
